The newest Ja Ja Ja Berlin edition is just around the corner! On September 10th you will get introduced to a bunch of nordic talents again, this time with Hey Elbow, Axel Flóvent and Lisa Alma. Before the big show we want to introduce you to modern folk singer Axel Flóvent from lovely Reykjavík so you can get to know him better! We’ve asked him to pick 4 movies that he would have loved to produce the soundtrack for, and then pairing them up with his own music. Here’s the result:

Movie: Into The Wild
This movie is so nice! there are so many beautiful scenes in this movie. I just would’ve loved to write some music for this movie, something about that drive-through the country atmosphere that I like so much.

Movie: 50 / 50
It’s a beautiful drama that I really like with great music, it would be great having a song in this movie.

Movie: Youth In Revolt
I’ve always been a big fan of Michael Cera, His awkwardness got me through my awkward years, and though it’s been a long time since I saw this movie I remember how cool I thought this movie was, just his name in the movie Nick Twisp and his alter ego Francois. So cool. It’s a dream of mine having one of my songs in a Michael Cera movie.

Movie: Submarine
I love this movie and the movie soundtrack, would have been such a great party writing the songs for this movie. the awkward teenage moments, and the beautiful clothes. Just so nice!
