All good things come back: after the summer break we’re more than happy about the return of Ja Ja Ja! This month’s edition features the Swedish pop trio Hey Elbow, modern folk musician Axel Flóvent from Iceland and dreamy singer and producer Lisa Alma from Denmark. And i’m sure you have already heard about it: this time not only in Berlin (FluxBau), but in Hamburg (Molotow) aswell! To get to know the artists before the show we’ve talked to Hey Elbow and asked them to pair 5 of their own songs with 5 very different situations. Here we go:
1. Showering in the morning
Hey Elbow - Martin
Martin is a positive and rhythmic song which helps you getting a great start of the day.
2. The last 5 dreadful minutes of a run
Hey Elbow - Ruth
Ruth has a lot of energy, especially in the end of the song, which of course is a good thing when you’re running.
3. A candlelight dinner
Hey Elbow - Finn
Finn is the most calm track on the album. Its a beautiful and simple song without any pulse.
4. The first warm day of spring
Hey Elbow - Matilde
Matilde is a happy song. A couple of our friends are singing on this song and the choir fits perfect to the first day of spring.
5. For a stormy day:
Hey Elbow - Rael
Rael is a dark and powerful song. But it also has a bit of hope in it, that maybe makes you feel a bit hopeful too
