As Berlin Midsommar Festival is getting closer, we thought about this well-known german advice: “Vorbereitung ist das A&O!!” (means: “Preparation is the most important thing!!”). So in the next six weeks you will get guides by Berliners on how to pamper yourself for the highlight of the Nordic by Nature year: Berlin Midsommar Festival.
First of are our good friends from Our/Berlin Vodka, they are known for making the best vodka in the world in their own distillery here in Berlin. For Berlin Midsommar Festival they made premium-once-in-a-lifetime-vodka-shots, and here is a step-by-step on how to prepare it. I have nothing else to say than: Please do this at home!! And: we can’t wait to drizzle our taste buds with this pink ‘Rhubarb Sweetheart’ vodka-shot.
To create the Berlin Midsommar Festival shot you need the following ingredients:
- Rhubarb
- Lemon shell
- Sugar
Add rhubarb and a little bit of lemon shells into your Our/Berlin vodka bottle, fill with vodka and let it infusion for some days. After 3 - 4 days it is time to seal the vodka into another jar/bottle, remove the rhubarb and lemon shells and add a little bit of sugar to get the sweetness to your shot. Let it rest for another 1 - 2 days and after that you seal the vodka one more time and et voilá, you now have a Rhubarb Sweetheart ready to drink. But no worries if you’re not the DIY-kind (no shame, even dry blackbread with butter tastes good when someone else made it), Our/Berlin will be on fleek at Berlin Midsommar Festival with their Rhubarb Sweetheart shots.
