Hejsan friends! Have you ever heard of Crayfish parties? It’s a Swedish food fest, which is celebrated in late summer during the crayfish harvesting season. The absolute star of the event (in accordance with the event name) is the Crayfish!! - cooked after a traditional Swedish recipe with dill and salt.
Additionally you’ll get served several delicious sides such as Västerbotten cheesepies and Knäckebröd. In the meantime hundreds of Swedes are sitting at long tables, singing traditional Swedish drinking songs, which absolutely have to be proudly finished with a nubbe shot. Regardless of age, everyone is wearing funny paper hats and bibs. And of course traditional Swedish party decoration can’t be missed: the place is generously decorated with pennants, candles and laterns with crayfish design and moon faces on it.
