5) X-Jazz Festival - 05.05. - 08.05.2016 - Berlin | Facebook | Website
On its debut in May 2014, XJAZZ Festival instantly became Berlin’s biggest Jazz festival – with 48 bands and almost 10,000 visitors. This year with Scandinavian artists Kenneth Dahl and Kristin Amparo.

Ólafur Arnalds and Janus Rasmussen have dedicated themselves to explore the area in-between Ólafur’s more acoustic, piano-based solo work and Janus’s synth-heavy electro pop, with their collaborative electronic project Kiasmos.

German-Swedish band 1000 GRAM, pronounced tusen gram, are releasing their new EP “Grebbestad” on May, 6th, which is followed by a tour through Germany.

Over ten days, outstanding writers and illustrators from Åland, Denmark, The Faroe Islands, Finland, Greenland, Iceland, Norway, Sweden and the northern European Sámi will be presenting themselves and their work to the public. A varied events program opens up a new perspective on the Nordic countries’ cultural diversity, visible in literature and illustration.
