Back in late 2014, a track with an intriguing title ‘Fuck with Someone Else‘ by some new band called GANGLY was sent out to journalists with no note or explanation whatsoever. With its catchy title, gluey electronica-meets-R&B sound, and the mystery surrounding the group behind it, the song quickly made headlines. As it turned out later, GANGLY brings together some of Iceland’s brightest music talents: Sindri (of Sin Fang), Jófríður (of Samaris & Pascal Pinon), and Úlfur (of Oyama). The result of this collaboration is mystical, dark, and utterly enticing. Today Gangly are easily one of the hottest Icelandic acts out there - with none other than Björk herself among their fans.
Just yesterday GANGLY dropped their fourth song ‘Whole Again‘ - and it makes us all the more excited to hear more of their smooth, delicate, and ethereal soundscapes. Watch the accompanying video below - it’s a surreal and inexplicably fitting visual for the alienated tales of love told in the track.
