Hey folks, we’re in the middle of July and summer break is on its way. So is there anything better than enjoying the summer with some sweet Scandinavian festivals while dancing in the sun, with a beer in your hand, and of course good music? No?… Exactly! We want to give you a short list of Scandinavian festivals which you shouldn’t miss this summer and might have not crossed your g-map until now.
Finland
H2Ö Festival 24. – 25. July
Let’s begin our little journey through Scandinavia with Finland. The H2Ö festival, which was successfully introduced last summer, will take place on July 24th – 25th. On top of the diverse music, which includes hard-core representatives of Finnish alternative music and international underground gems, the old carpentry shop area will be coloured with a vast multi-artistic-programme: performances, installations, workshops and street art.
Denmark
Stella Polaris Festival 24. July – 02. August
If you’re wandering around Denmark next week, check out the Stella Polaris Festival which is held annually in the gardens of Denmark’s biggest cities: Sønderborg (24th July), Aarhus (25th July), Kolding (31st July) and Frederiksberg (2nd August). The crowd is a great mix of electronic feinschmeckers, happy families with playing children, intoxicating after parties, smooching couples sharing kisses, cool white wine and the odd surprised group who just happened to walk by and decided to stay. And the best thing about Stellar Polaris: it’s for free!
Trailerpark Festival 30. July – 01. August
If you’re more into art and design the Trailerpark Festival in late July/beginning of August should be on your list. It’s a spectacular 3 day music and arts festival situated in the heart of Copenhagen. More than 40 live concerts, a stage dedicated to kick ass DJ’s, and a festival area unlike anywhere else will be offered at the festival. This is all topped off with old trailers transformed into otherworldly hangout places, outstanding scenography, a live art gallery and the sweetest and sexiest community. Wonderfestiwall 20. – 23. August

Sweden
Stockholm Music & Arts Festival 01. – 03. August
Welcome to Sweden. From August 1st – 3rd, the Stockholm Music & Arts Festival will combine intelligent art with distinct musical artistry – some of the best Sweden and the world have to offer. You’ll be able to look at the city’s glittering water landscapes while enjoying your day in a distinctive urban archipelago setting.
Dance Dakar 21. – 22. August
Another amazing Swedish festival is Dance Dakar. It’s the first Scandinavian club-oriented music festival with a fantastic outdoor party which will definitely make your body shake.
Norway
Pstereo Festival 21. – 22. August
One of the biggest festivals in Norway is the Pstereo Festival. It will be taking place in Norway’s third largest city, Trondheim. The two-day annual music festival offers on four different stages both up-and-comers and a few classic headliners every year. In a unique atmosphere you’ll be able to see various Scandinavian artists such as Aurora, Emilie Nicolas, Team Me and many more.
Iceland
Innipúkinn Festival 31. Juli – 02. August
The Innipúkinn Festival in Iceland is an indie music festival held in downtown Reykjavík. It’s a cozy sweet festival for those who aren’t so much into camping and big festivals. Beside Indie bands and big name acts, the line up includes up-and-comers to play at venues all over Reykjavík.
