Fresh grooves from Gothenburg: today RUBY EMPRESS release their debut single Deluca. The 22-ish year old musicians lay down a relaxed and promising sound, which is bound to stay! The track starts out all sweet & bouncy but ends with an instrumental wall of sound. “Deluca was meant to be about a relationship”, says the band around singer Tom Serner and adds, “that in hindsight it turned out as a song about struggling with the Scandinavian weather”. We will never know whether the song is about a girl or the weather but we do know that RUBY EMPRESS will be back in June, when they release their EP.
