KNASH – Lame
Pop punk all-female band KNASH from Sweden just released their new single ‘Lame’. The girls repeatedly sing „You’re lame if you don’t know my name“ accompanied by distorted guitars and upbeat drums. We for sure won’t forget them all too soon.
SUNDAYS – Rush
Nordic folk-pop band SUNDAYS is the creation of Danish singer-songwriter Magnus Jacobson. In a simple, pastoral sound with elements of folk, hymns, and pop, SUNDAYS draw a natural line between their Scandinavian roots – to the contemporary folk scene of especially the US and Britain. ‘Rush’ is their newest release.
Skylar Fri – Without You I’m Just a Body
Danish pop newcomer Skylar Fri just released her new ethereal single ‘Without You I’m Just A Body’, a song about the loneliness experienced in single-mindedly pursuing perceived goals. Fri’s spectral vocals drift effortlessly, sounding similar to the haunting stylings of Lana Del Rey and Lykke Li. Driven by that sense of escapism, ‘Without You I’m Just A Body’ is yet another example of her continued ability to create poignant and sophisticated alt-pop.
Virgin Suicide – Madonna
Virgin Suicide, a band from Copenhagen just released their new track ‘Madonna’. Their sound can be described like late-80s Brit guitar janglers given an LA pop makeover.
First Hate – Fallen
Copenhagen duo First Hate – that’s Anton Falck Gansted and Joakim Wei Bernild – have revealed the extraterrestrial video for their latest offering ‘Fallen’.
Margrete – JOY
After discovering GarageBand on the family computer at the age of ten, Norwegian artist Margrete started recording and producing her own music. Fast forward ten years, and her lo-fi, synth-driven, jazz-influenced pop song ‘Teen’ is played on national radio, a TV series, and even BBC Radio 1. Her new single ‘Joy’ is out now.
Mountain Bird – Cubism EP
Upcoming Swedish producer Adam Öhman, known as Mountain Bird creates a world of indie-electronica with his music. Synth laden melodies and melancholic beats paint a picture of dreamy Scandinavian melancholy. „Cubism“ is his new EP. See Mountain Bird perform live at Berlin Midsommar Festival 2018. HUMAN – ROBOT
Grammy award winning collective HUMAN have released their new dystopian track ‘ROBOT’. It’s a Gloomy post-apocalyptic view of society wrapped in a joyful carefree sound of the summer.
STRØM – Teenage Crime
Swedish producer and beatmaker STRØM just released his brand new track called ‘Teenage Crime’ – a remake of Adrian Lux’ biggest hit 8 years ago.
