Swedish dark-pop queen Louise Lemón has yet again fascinated us with her impeccable aesthetic: the new video for her most recent single ‘Egyptian Darkness‘ - premiered by Nothing But Hope and Passion - is nothing short of gorgeous and mysterious.
Shot in the Death Valley, the clip flaunts a most exquisite color palette of scarlet and maroon, which fits seamlessly with the song’s dramatic and intense sound. The deserted landscapes and the incandescent sun are simultaneously breathtaking and terrifying, empowering and overwhelming. To put it short, it’s hard to think of more appropriate visual for a song entitled ‘Egyptian Darkness’.
‘Egyptian Darkness‘ is the second single from Louise’s upcoming EP ‘Purge‘, which will come out on March 14 on ICEA.
“The video was recorded in Death Valley which really cohered with the music. It really is a magical and magnificent place and the greatness of it reflects the feeling I wanted to portray with the songs theme of empowering and the musical expression. It was a very powerful experience being in this environment, travelling for hours with views only over the dunes.” - Louise Lemón on ‘Egyptian Darkness‘.
