A new festival is coming to town: By The Lake Festival! The Lake is normally a radio station by members of the Danish band Efterklang (you better know who I’m talking about here), and now they decided that they want to do a one-day-festival in Berlin and assembled unique and diverse acts to grace the beautiful surroundings of this festival. And it’s not in Neukölln, nor in Kreuzberg, it’s in Weissensee (the öffis drive all the way there, yes they do).

The Freilichtbühne in Weissensee is really close to Weisser See, which has this amazing view. You can either sit with your bae and stare at the sun downing into the lake, or you can be cool and listen to Liima (FI + DK) that also is created by three of the Efterklang members and exists through microrythms, expressive synthesizers and moving chants. Liima will open the festival, and it will also be their first concert since the sold out show during the CTM festival.

Wildbirds & Peacedrums is a swedish duo, their minimalistic sound depends on drums and vocals. They exclude everything redundant and transform their (not really) primitive musical elements into magical sounds.
