Berlin Midsommar Festival 2015 is more than close. It’s right in front of us.
We’re glad to announce that Skattjakt and Azure Blue will join us on this crazy evening and make you dance your feet off. So, are you ready for this?
These girls definitely know how to make a party out of nothing. The Swedish duo Skattjakt started out two years ago and have played a lot during the last year. They will make you dance. They will make you sweat. And they will definitely make you remember them. We are thrilled to see them jump around and DJ at Berlin Midsommar 2015.
Who are you?
A treasure hunting, spontaneous, unlikely, gold digging, joy seaking, prestiegeless duo. Or simply put - just two amateurs who like to have fun.
What is Swedish Midsommar for you?
Swedish Midsommar is a rare combination of the best and the worst that Sweden has to offer, crammed into a few hours of celebrating; we’ve got dancing, drinking, 20 hr daylight, may poles and other nice stuff - and then there’s the horrible herring with weird sauce, disgusting akvavit and mosquitos.
What will you bring to the table for this years edition?
A mix of everything, old & new, whatever needs to be played. “We’re the hero that Gotham deserves, AND the one that it needs right now”
Give us some of your Swedish favorite?
ABBA, everything from Eurovision, and have you tried E-type?
Tobias Isaksson aka Azure Blue recently released his album ‘Beneath The Hill I Smell The Sea‘ which is the last part in his dream-pop trilogy. The album has received considerable attention and so has this young man. This year he will join us at Berlin Midsommar Festival 2015 with a steamy DJ set. We are beyond excited.
Who are you?
I’m Tobias Isaksson, artist under the names Azure Blue, Nite Flights and Personal Trainers, all on Swedish imprint Hybris.
What is Swedish Midsommar for you?
Swedish Midsummer is a very sweet outdoors festivity. I love the food and good spirit. The weather is very important for the holiday so there’s a bit of anxiety involved. Will it rain?
What will you bring to the table for this years edition?
I will DJ at Berlin Midsommar. I’m a pretty eclectic DJ, but my main focus lately has been experimental dance music, hiphop and R&B.
Give us some of your Swedish favorite?
I just made a Spotify playlist of great Swedish tracks from this year fronted by women. It includes everything from urban hiphop like Silvana Imam to a west coast hymn by Christina Hellström (who’s actually Håkan Hellström’s mother).
