Have you heard it yet? The new Ep? It’s fabulous. Today Mads Damsgaard Kristiansen aka Reptile Youth releasing his EP ‘Away’, and this one is definitely a keeper. Each track is so innovative; the five-track collection is varied enough to keep things consistently interesting, like “Keep On Moving” which is a slower, dripping rock song that highlights the sultry qualities of Damsgaard’s vocals or ‘New Age’ that is enchanting and filled with hermoni. This EP will take you on a journey of open-mindedness and curiosity. Reptile Youth, you have done it again.

That’s really hard. ‘Shine On You Crazy Diamond’ by Pink Floyd. Or maybe ‘Lua’ by Bright Eyes. Many of the songs I would have loved to have written I have worn out to a degree where I hear things that might not actually be there. Here are 4 songs that are released within the past year that I really like:
Dry Me Out – Rangleklods
3. Is there a typical Scandinavian sound?
Some people are talking about a certain melancolic scandi sound. I don’t know. I don’t necessarily think that music is connected to geography in the same way anymore. The world becomes more and more generic. It’s scary. But then again I guess there is a special thing that connects a lot of the scandinavian music. What it is exactly I wouldn’t know.
4. What’s your favourite emoji?
The Cyclone. It’s really beautiful and somehow reminds me of Camille Henrot.
5. What question would you like to ask next week’s Artist of the Week?
What can another person do to earn your respect? What does that say about your music?
