They make it really hard not to like them. Boeoes Kaelstigen (still can’t pronounce the name properly), the swedish pop-trance duo released their album ‘Overcomes Love, Time & Space’ last week. The album consists of 13 tracks that really give your brain, body and soul a hefty kick. It is like giving candy to a kid and then wait for the sugar to explode in the body. That energy. It is electronic, finely tuned and futuristic. This is where trance and techno meet classic synth pop with an 80’s vibe. Leo Nathorst-Böös and Tor Rauden Källstigen take you on a trip to outer space and then bring you back to earth again with a big ‘wow’.
Listen to the whole album here on our AOTW Spotify Playlist and don’t forget to step by our nordic_by_nature instagram account to see what the electronic duo is up to. As always, we have asked our Artist of the Week our five sweet questions and here are their five sweet answers.
1. Explain the evolution of Boeoes Kaelstigen in 5 words
Sometimes we make pop music.
2. What song would you love to have written?
Sofi de la Torre’s Vermillion. It’s such a perfect pop song, and it’d be really fun to be involved in her production work!
3. Is there a typical Scandinavian sound?
There are many typical Scandinavian sounds.
4. How much cash is currently stacked in your bank account? (fråga från Lo-Fi-Fnk)
We convert all our money to more apocalypse-friendly assets, such as canned foods, kerosene and battery-powered synths.
5. What question would you like to ask next week’s Artist of the Week
Two trains leave different cities heading toward each other at different speeds. Train A, traveling 70 miles per hour (mph), leaves Tanum heading toward West Berlin, 550 miles away. At the same time Train B, traveling 60 mph, leaves West Berlin heading toward Tanum. When do the two trains meet? How far from each city do they meet?
