Since I heard ‘This Year’ for the first time I was totally hooked. The song got on my star-playlist immediately and since then I’ve been listening to the Swedish singer/ songwriter Andreas Moe a lot.
A while ago he released ‘Step Down From It’ which is the first single from his upcoming EP ‘Borderline’ that will be out this week. Right from the beginning you can hear that the track is aaall about love, but the tricky part is to find out if it’s a sad love song or more like a relief (finally it’s over!!) love song. When I was starting to write on this text I realized that every time I listened to the song I never actually paid that much attention to the music. It’s all about the text. “Don’t hold your love. Where I can’t reach”, “You wake me up in the middle of the night, in the middle of a lie”. I mean, we all know that Andreas knows how to write lyrics but this is something else, it takes over and really gets under your skin.
April 27th, you will have the chance to see this guy that has been compared to James Dean (for his look though, wouldn’t be very ‘waauaauw’ if it was for the voice I guess) at Badehaus Szimpla. We have 2×2 tickets to give away and all you need to do is to send an email to [email protected] and tell me who’s your favorite Hanson brother.
“I’m beyond excited to come back to Berlin and play my music! I think it’s the perfect place to start my headline tour!” - Andreas Moe
